Due to our experience in having provided creative school furniture for a range of organisations and institutions, Brookhouse was selected to work alongside Hamadryad Primary school in developing high-quality educational furniture for their premises.
We worked closely with Hamadryad Primary School, based in Cardiff, Wales, in order to ensure that we fully understood the goals they had in mind for their refurbishment. A lot of the work we do at Brookhouse involves interpreting our clients’ needs, providing them with an end result that they are both impressed and sometimes amazed by! This was a large-scale project for our team, as the school required over 600 pieces of educational furniture.
Our specialist team takes great interest in the significant difference that high-quality, inspiring surroundings can have within an educational setting. Hamadryad Primary School requested that we generated a fun atmosphere that prompted hands-on learning. Part of achieving this involved understanding that children need to be in an environment they thoroughly enjoy and love. We therefore placed an emphasis on developing colourful murals on the walls, matching this with modular furniture such as desks that can be easily adjusted. Switching up the daily layout of the school environment can have a huge benefit on simulating young minds and promoting healthy learning.
Due to the positive benefits associated with outdoor play and learning, Hamadryad aimed to upgrade their outdated outdoor areas too. We renovated this to entertain the pupils with the latest outdoor play area timber. This provided them with new toys, play areas and climbing trails; all of which will be thoroughly enjoyed for many years to come. Our unique designs focus on sparking inspirational play amongst the students, something that can set them on the right path to becoming even more creative individuals.

How Brookhouse provided Hamadryad Primary School with school furniture and Functional and Inspiring Designs
This project took us just two weeks to implement, with a total of 14 classrooms refurbished, and 2 outdoor play areas renovated. As a team, we’re constantly inspired by the thought that we’re changing the educational lives of children throughout various areas for the better, and this pushes us to create even more intriguing yet functional designs as the years go on! It’s evident that we transformed the environment at Hamadryad Primary School, and parents, students and staff were highly impressed by our efforts.
