Cecil Jones Academy – Science Laboratories - Brookhouse
Cecil Jones Academy required the refurbishment of their science Laboratory to accommodate their current and future needs and this involved a completely new layout of the room.
The new design needed to accommodate the required amount of pupils at any one time and give enough space for them to learn effectively. The school required a modern look and feel and needed to provide a top grade environment suitable for science teaching.
The project needed to be completed during the Easter holidays and be ready in time for the students return before the Summer term.

How Brookhouse refurbished Science Laboratories for Cecil Jones Academy
Brookhouse created a design using inline workbench stations and perimeter benching which enabled the space to be used most effectively, ensuring that the room could accommodate the requisite amount of pupils.
All safety requirements were strictly adhered to from design to development and implementation – hugely important in a science laboratory where gas, electrics and chemicals are in use on a regular basis. Stylish worktops and cupboards throughout with complementary flooring and wall finishes completed the look.
The design included a teacher’s work station and wall-mounted storage units, all finished in high quality materials, ensuring that the Science Laboratory is future-proofed for many years to come.
Cecil Jones Academy were delighted with the results and have since refurbished another 6 laboratories with Brookhouse. They also took advantage of our term-time working methodology so they didn’t have to wait for another summer holiday to carry out the work.
