Solihull Sixth Form College undertook a £3 million modernisation project, which included a critical need to upgrade their ICT suites. The existing ICT infrastructure was outdated, with obsolete hardware and software that could not support the current curriculum requirements or the integration of new educational technologies.
The existing ICT facilities were not conducive to modern educational practices, lacking flexibility in layout and the ability to support collaborative work. The fixed seating arrangements and limited space for group activities did not align with the college’s vision and the outdated and uninspiring design of the ICT suites did not motivate students or foster engagement.

Brookhouse executed a comprehensive refurbishment to elevate Solihull Sixth Form College’s ICT suites, transforming them into modern, adaptable, and engaging learning spaces.
We initiated the project with a thorough design and consultancy phase, working in close collaboration with the college to tailor the spaces to their specific needs. Our design team developed a flexible and functional layout that promoted both individual learning and collaborative work.
Custom furniture was designed and manufactured to provide ergonomic and adaptable workstations. This included modular desks that could be easily reconfigured to support various teaching methods and group activities. We upgraded the ICT infrastructure by integrating cutting-edge technology, including high-performance computers, interactive displays, and a robust network system.
