Alfred Salter School – PODs and Acoustics - Brookhouse
Alfred Salter School already had acoustics installed in their smaller hall but now wanted a similar installation in their large hall too.
Due to the high vaulted ceiling in the room, noise was constantly an issue, whether the room was being used for assemblies or for staff meetings.
They wanted to use colorful materials that were not only practical at noise reduction but also looked bright, smart and fun.

How Brookhouse Transformed Alfred Salter School's Hall with Acoustic Solutions
Brookhouse supplied and installed hexagonal-shaped acoustic panels in various bright colours, which are cheerful and eye-catching as well as hugely reducing the echoing that was typical whenever large numbers of students were in the hall.
Individual tables and chairs were also installed with ‘Hush Board’ panels which ensure that any meetings are now able to take place without echo issues. These panels are in the same bright colours as the hanging panels so the hall design is fully cohesive in style.
